Kraków i Wieliczka
On Monday we went to visit the Salt Mine Wieliczka which is the oldest salt enterprise on Polish land dating back to the Middle Ages. Several hundreds of years of rock salt exploitation have shaped the spatial arrangement of its excavated structure. The mine reaches down to the depth of 327 metres and consists of nearly 300 kilometres of corridors and almost 3,000 chambers. Luckily, the tourist route accessible to visitors includes a 3.5-kilometre section located from 64 to 135 metres below ground level. So it wasn't as tiring as one could think. After our visit in the mine we went straight to Cracow. First, we went to see the Renaissance Royal Castle at Wawel where we could hear the legend of the dragon. When we reached the Market Square, we were divided into smaller groups and given mysterious tasks prepared by mgr Słowiena. After that it was finally time for eating and of course shopping :) We finished our visit by joining two musicians and giving a concert to all passers-by. We were in such a great mood that we couldn't stop singing all the way back to Cieszyn.
